Harm & Conflict:
If You’ve Done Harm

If you have done harm, and you’re arriving at this page, that is already a start toward creating more justice and repair.

There are so many barriers to accountability in our communities. If you are a person who has caused harm, and you want to try to find ways to be accountable, we are here with you. In our community of practice, we have also done harm and we know that it is not easy to take responsibility for that. We also know that it can be very healing to make a commitment to growing, transforming and stopping the harm from happening again. We center survivors in all of our work- but that doesn’t mean that we are not supportive of people who have done harm.

As many of us are survivors too, what we want most is for people who do harm to take accountability, stop the harm, and to help make our communities safer. We can’t guarantee that we’ll reach out to a person you’ve harmed-- but we will help you find a path to accountability with supportive community around you.

We don’t want anyone to have to experience incarceration or other forms of punishment. It’s our vision that communities can hold people within them accountable without causing more harm. Our processes include opportunities for story-telling and understanding the root causes of harm so that plans can be made to stop the harm. We can also help connect you to additional supports that can help you find your way.
